This tour takes you from Christchurch, through diverse farmland to Lake Tekapo, where you can view the solitary Church of the Good Shepherd. Your tour continues along the Tasman River before arriving at the location of New Zealand's tallest mountain Aoraki / Mount Cook. There is time to experience an optional scenic helicopter or ski plane flight (weather permitting and at own expenses) before departing for New Zealand's Adventure Capital, Queenstown.

Depart Queenstown and travel through the rugged and beautiful landscape of Otago. Cross the Lindis Pass into the Mackenzie Country to visit Mount Cook Village at the base of New Zealand's highest mountain Aoraki / Mount Cook. Here there is time to experience an optional scenic helicopter or ski-plane flight with a snow landing (weather permitting and at own expenses). Continue your journey with a stop at the Church of the Good Shepherd on the shores of Lake Tekapo, before continuing to Christchurch.

Day 01             MANILA/AUCKLAND
Depart Manila for Auckland. On Board.
Day 02             ARRIVE AUCKLAND
Upon arrival at the airport, transfer to the hotel by shuttle van
Day 03             AUCKLAND/MATAMATA                                             (D)
Scenic Tours 6H (seat-in-coach tour 0815/1500)in association with Intercity and Newmans coachlines.
Depart Auckland and travel south towards the Bombay Hills before continuing into New Zealand's largest dairy farming province, the Waikato. Following the Waikato River to the city of Hamilton. Travel from Hamilton your journey continues via the rural township of Morrinsville then on to Matamata. Time is available for lunch (at own expenses). Starting the Hobbiton Movie Tour from the Matamata Information Centre. The guide will provide an informative commentary on the story behind the scenes on how and why the location was chosen and what was involved to create the set. Return to Matamata Information Centre and pick-up by the Farm Host and transfer to the Farm.
Dinner is served at the Farm with Farm Host
Day 04             MATAMATA/ROTORUA                                               (B)
Breakfast is served at the Farm with Farm Host
Farm host will drop off passengers at the Matamata Inter-city coach depot.
On board the Inter-City Coach from Matamata to Rotorua. Climb the Mamaku Ranges before descending down into the Rotorua Lakes region. Upon arrival in Rotorua transfer to the hotel by shuttle van. The rest of the day is free at leisure
Day 05             ROTORUA                                                                   (B)

Visit Rotorua's leading attractions and experience the scenic beauty, history and culture of it. Included in the full day tour of Rotorua, you would be able to see the boiling mud pools and the mighty geysers at Te Puia; and during your guided tour in the Maori Arts & Crafts Institute, demonstrations of Maori carving and weaving will be shown. Moreover, Rainbow Springs Nature Park offers a unique showcase of native flora and fauna, following by Agrodome Sheep Show - an entertaining "hands-on" experience which gives you an animated insight into New Zealand farming. Enjoy some leisure time to shop and take the pleasure of the cuisine (at own expenses) in Rotorua. Enjoy a return day trip from Rotorua through across lush rolling farm landscape to the mystical Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Time is available for lunch (at own expenses). After lunch enjoy a guided tour through the galleries and lofty chambers of the Caves. The tour culminates with a boat ride through the Glowworm Grotto - lit up by thousands of tiny living lights. Re-board the coach and travel through to Auckland
